Dublin Airport T2

The iconic gateway to Ireland

Description:

Consideration of passenger movement was a fundamental part of the design process ensuring logical and intuitive sequential journeys. The plan layout is responsive to operational requirements, the designers chose a colour palette that was easy for passengers to understand and avoid confusion with other furniture elements that were not part of the flight check in travel experience.

The design of all passenger interface furniture involved 24 months of design workshops with the various end users, the design team and project managers. Integration of the various technologies was paramount to the success of the fixed furniture package. The principal materials used for the manufacture of the Ticket Desks, Gate Desks, Passport Control Desks and Baggage Reclaim were Corian and Lg Hausys. All of the manufacturing for this project was undertaken in our premises in Kells.

Terminal 2 provides an iconic gateway to Ireland and has received numerous awards including the CMG Building Design Awards Public Building of the Year as voted by the general public.
